codeORcreate
codeORcreate is an annual competition where young people work together to create innovative solutions for real community challenges. Teams will turn an idea into a finished project and present it to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes.
We're shaking things up a little this year! The challenges will be released in early November, and teams will have a full month to work together to create their solutions. Teams will present their final project at the showcase.
How it Works
Sign-Up and Build Your Team: October 5 - November 2
Sign up with a team of up to five people. Don't have a full team? No problem. Teams with three or fewer members can be matched with additional teammates.
Get The Challenge: Monday, November 2
On Monday, November 2, teams and challenges are released at noon via email. Followed by a 4:00 pm mandatory virtual kick-off meeting to learn more about codeORcreate and the real-world community challenges your team will work together to solve.
Team Meetings
We encourage you to coordinate meetings throughout the month to work together on projects. For teams needing a place to meet, Connected Lane County has Drop-In facilities at the Youth HUB and Spark at Booth-Kelly from 3:00–6:00 pm. (We have technology and WiFi available.)

Build Your Project: November 2 - December 4
November 16 - November 22: Mentor Feedback Sessions

November 23 - December 4: Final Working Period
Implement and refine your final projects during this week. This is your opportunity to take what you learned in your mentor meetings and incorporate their feedback.
Show it off at the showcase on Saturday, December 5.
