City of Eugene Fuels and Habitat Management Assistant (Seasonal)
The City of Eugene Parks and Open Space is looking for a hard-working, knowledgeable assistant to help work on hazardous fuels reduction projects, tree planting, and other habitat restoration and enhancement projects. At least two years of experience in natural resources, forestry, conservation, habitat management, or a similar field, including some field experience, is required; knowledge of local plants and ecosystems is preferred! Salary is $22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience, and is scheduled to last approximately 4 months (Nov 2026 - Feb 2027).
Home Depot Customer Service/Sales Associate
Home Depot is looking for an individual to help support folx in their home improvement and building projects! Customer Service/Sales Associates provide customers with information about products and identify selling opportunities. This position regularly supervises full-service and self-service check-out lines. While starting pay is not listed on their website, they do cover a range of different company benefits!

Rise and Shine Direct Support Professional
Are you looking to make a positive impact in someone’s day? Rise and Shine is looking for enthusiastic 18+ folx wanting to make a difference in someone’s life. Some days you'll help someone cook dinner. Other days you'll cheer them on at bowling, take them to a doctor's appointment, help them land a job, celebrate a birthday, or simply sit beside them during a difficult day. Salary can range from $19 to $23 depending on experience, and training is provided!
YMCA Lifeguard and Group Swim Instructor
Are you a strong swimmer with an eye for safety? The YMCA is looking for an individual (age 15+) to regularly oversee their pool area. This position also involves teaching folx of different swimming experiences in Group Swim lessons. Starting rate is $16.40 an hour and includes benefits and employee discounts! CPR, First Aid, and Current Red Cross Lifeguard or YMCA Lifeguard certification (or equivalent) is required for this position.

DevNW Financial Foundations
While not an employment opportunity, this class is a fantastic opportunity for anyone starting to manage their finances for the first time. Money is complicated, and DevNW provides finance education classes for youth and young adults ages 14-24. The classes cover the basics of money management, navigating the credit system, understanding debt, consumer safety, taxes, and investing. The classes are eight hours total and, if attendees are present for all classes, they will have the opportunity to enroll in their Young Adult Individual Development Account program. This YA IDA offers a match savings program with a ratio of 1:5, and will match up to $300 for participants. In other words, if participants can save $300, they can match that savings with $1,500! You can use this to further your financial goals!

Pathways for Rural Oregon Students to Healthcare and Disability Careers Program
This paid program from OSHU University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities is explicitly for 16+ youth living in rural areas (including Lane County) interested in pursuing healthcare and disability-related careers. This seven-month program includes an eight-week summer internship where students work on a meaningful project with support from a healthcare professional mentor. Students also take part in mentorship, career exploration, learning opportunities, and professional development. Participants are offered up to $3,600 in stipends ($1,800 for completing the Summer Internship and $1,800 for participating in the Mentorship Program), travel support for program activities, and technology needs support for virtual parts of the program. Applications start in November!
