Connected Lane County's Summer Internship program helps high school students take their next step toward the future through paid, hands-on work experiences with local employers.

Whether you're exploring future career options, building your resume, or preparing for college or the workforce, a Summer Internship can help you discover what's possible.

Applications open each January for the upcoming summer.

Paid Opportunity

Connected Lane County believes young people’s time and contributions have value. Participants in this program are compensated for their time and will be considered temporary employees of Connected Lane County. Compensation details are shared during the application process and outlined during onboarding.

Typical Internship Timeline

While dates may vary from year to year, Summer Internships generally follow a timeline which includes an interview, orientation, internship, and wrap-up week, followed by a showcase celebration. Specific dates will be announced when the application opens.

Summer Internships are designed for high school juniors and seniors interested in gaining workplace experience and exploring career opportunities.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to creating opportunities for young people throughout Lane County.
