Cullinary Life Skills Excelerator

The Culinary Life Skills Excelerator helps young adults build real skills in the kitchen at home and beyond. Get paid hands-on kitchen training, where you’ll learn essential techniques like knife skills, food handling, and safety. 


The application for the Spring 2027 cohort will open in December 2026.

Paid Opportunity

Connected Lane County believes young people’s time and contributions have value. Participants in this program are compensated for their time and will be considered temporary employees of Connected Lane County. Compensation details are shared during the application process and outlined during onboarding.

What You'll Experience

  • Paid, hands-on culinary training

  • Knife skills, food safety, and food handling

  • Professional development workshops

  • Career exploration

  • Support from experienced chefs and mentor

Program Details

  • Ages 18-24

  • No previous experience required

  • Transportation assistance provided

  • Required PPE and work-related gear included

  • Lunch provided during training

2027 Cohort Details

March 1, 2027 - March 12, 2027

Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Spring 2027 Culinary Excelerator will run from March 1, 2027, through March 12, 2027. The training will take place Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

 

The application will open December 21, 2026, and close January 11, 2027.
